School Board

As part of the effort to establish a sustainable, cutting-edge educational product, Our Lady of the Lake has a unique school governance model that allows an elected School Board to have a more prominent role in working with the Pastor to govern the school.  These bylaws have been approved by the Archdiocese and are available for anyone to review.

Board Members

Kelly Geadelmann, Chair

Marketing Seat (2020-2022)

My husband Kirk and I have been parents at Our Lady of the Lake for 16 years, and parishioners for 18 years. Through these years, we have been so blessed to have 3 boys attend OLL. Our oldest, Jack is attending Wisconsin-Madison after graduating from OLL and Holy Family. Our middle son Luke is attending Holy Family after graduating OLL, and our youngest, Ben, is in middle school at OLL. I am passionate about the ability for our community to give an option for parents who are looking for an educational experience where we teach the lessons of kindness, service as well as an extremely strong academic program. This results in the gift of confidence for our children as they move onto High School guiding the choices needed as they navigate through their lives. I have over 25 years of marketing experience that I can lend to guide OLL on enrollment, marketing and fundraising. I look forward to serving the school in a second term.

My husband Brian and I are parishioners and school parents at OLL. Our sons, Finn and Riley, are in third grade and kindergarten. I attended Catholic schools from kindergarten through college, and am a strong supporter of Catholic education. I have a bachelor’s degree in Economics, previously earned my Certified Financial Planner™ certification, and have over ten years of experience in finance working with various wealth management firms including Morgan Stanley. I look forward to serving Our Lady of the Lake, and am grateful to be a part of this very special community.

Gretchen Chilson, Education Subcommittee Chair

(Education Seat 2017-2021)

I have been a member of the OLL community for 12 years, along with my husband, Bob. Our twin 11-year-olds, Jacob and Robbie, and our youngest, Miles, will started preschool at OLL in 2020.

I am a teacher in the Westonka School district, directing 5th – 12th grade bands at Grandview Middle School and Mound Westonka High School.

My volunteer work to support OLL has included junior high Youth Group, Vacation Bible School, School PTO, and various church and school fundraisers.

For the past four years, I have served on the Education Committee of the OLL School Board. It has been my pleasure to use my experience as parent, teacher, and volunteer to support the parish and school in this role, and I hope to continue serving.

Connor Sir

Finance Seat (2022-2024)

I attended Our Lady of the Lake School from preschool through eighth grade. After graduating from Mound Westonka, I attended the University of Saint Thomas. I work as an employee benefits consultant in Minneapolis working with employers on evaluating their budget and allocating dollars towards caring for their most important asset, their employees. I married my wife, Paige, at OLL in October of 2021 and bought a home within the Mound community. I am drawn to the opportunity to join the School Board to be able to give back to a community that has always been generous to me and to build upon the work the board has done the last few years.

Jennifer Simmonds

At-Large Seat (2022-2024)

I was active in my family’s previous parish, Good Shepherd of Golden Valley, but recently moved to the area. I hold a BA in Business Finance from the University of St. Thomas and work as a Management Consultant for Deloitte. I have been a resident of Minnesota for almost 40 years. I  grew up in a large Catholic family, helping on our family farm, attending private school since Kindergarten and volunteering in my church community since childhood. Giving back was something my parents taught me, and my family has always made it a priority. My husband Dan & I have two children, one at OLL and one at Breakaway Academy. I would like to further grow OLL and achieve great success by reflecting the core Catholic values for families. I have ambitious goals in the areas of curriculum and infrastructure. OLL has standards that our community can be proud of, and the school continues to distinguish itself academically as well as carrying out their core values through the education experience accessible to all students. OLL has many things to be proud of, and I would like to continue the positive momentum of being a small school that delivers excellent results effectively.

I am honored for the opportunity to serve on the Our Lady of the Lake school board. My husband Randy and I have been members of the parish for nearly a decade and have two sons that attend elementary school at OLL. My interest to serve the students, parents, teachers, and community of OLL comes from the enriching experience our sons have been blessed with at OLL along with my 23 years of professional experience in education. My professional background includes a BS degree in Communication Disorders, a Master’s degree in Education, and MN teaching licenses ages 3-K and K-6. My passion as a parent, along with my extensive background in education, provides a well-rounded experience to serve and share on the OLL school board.
